We run self advocacy groups across North Yorkshie supporting people in smaller groups to learn the skills of self-advocacy, we operate in independent venues as well as with local day service providers to ensur that anyone can take part at a level that suits them.

Services

Our groups work on a range of issues but a lot of our work links to the North Yorkshire Strategy for people with a learning disability. This includes working with health professionals to raise awareness of the issues people face when they are a patient in hospital or attend a GP appointment. 

We produce easy read information. 

We are working with the North Yorkshire specialist practitioner for LeDeR.
