About Us
We work with adults with a learning disability and autism in the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas. We have 300 members, six of whom are on our Board of Trustees. Established in 1989 we became a Company Limited by Guarantee in 2006. We are members of All Wales People First and Learning Disability Wales and work closely with local councils and the health board on anything associated with learning disability
Services
Our aim is to encourage members to self-advocate, organise their own activities and take part in our co-production work with the two Swansea and NPT councils. Activities include cookery and fitness classes and social clubs. We are contracted to promote the co-production in the area and more recently to promote the take up of Annual Health Checks. We offer a limited professional advocacy service to local authorities and also an Easy-Read conversion service to anyone who wants it.
